One of the most iconic watches by Cartier, the Santos really needs no introduction. The origins of the Santos dates back to 1904 when Cartier first designed the watch to accompany his aviator friend Santos Dumont on his intrepid flights. With an aviation history, Santos bears the pedigree of a Pilot’s watch and is one of the earliest tool purpose wristwatches in history.
 
The 39.8mm brushed and polished ADLC case and bezel gives a stealthy aesthetic. The dial is set with Roman numerals and has a brush finished center, which comes to life in the light, this is surrounded by Cartiers minutes railroad track. The date window is housed at 6 'o'clock and is colour matched grey to match the dial and bezel. 
 
The crown is set with a faceted black synthetic spinel that matches the theme of the watch. The watch has 2 strap options and using the “SmartLink” adjustment system, a quick change can be easily made from the original aligator leather strap to a secondary black rubber strap with deployant buckle. As the case is only 9.38mm thick, it is an incredibly comfortable wearing watch. 
 
Inside beats the in-house calibre 1847 MC with a 42h of power reserve and the watch is water-resistant up to 10 bar. It's the attention to detail that sets this watch apart.
